FINLAND

New beginnings

Enjoying northern light in Finnish Lapland in January 2017 with Kim.

I had my heart check-up in Finland in December 2016 and got results in January 2017. And the results were… good! Doctors showed green light for continuation of my trip. Though I had made my peace with any result that I would get, this is something out of his hands in the end of the day, isn’t it? The next check up is scheduled to the end of 2018, which gives me again nearly two years on the bike.

Picture taken in Finland early January 2017 in the temperature of -38 Celsius with Kim. Just two weeks earlier I had been in Bali, literally 70C warmer climate.  It was the first time for her to see the Northern lights so we spent quite a lot time outdoors in the evenings despite the cold weather. Totally wort it. It is sometimes hard to remember how beautiful the North really is.

What happens to me and Kim? At this moment of our life we are taking different paths which take us to opposite sides of world. It shall be seen if the paths will cross again in the future. I am saddened, but grateful of the time we had together.

I have decided to live every day like it would be my last. That is why I got on the road in 2014, that is why I stopped in Bali for 8 months and that is why I getting back on the road now.
