Deer on the Tibetan plateau at 4400m
All the water for the first 5 days days was frozen solid on the plateau. Even the bigger rivers had a solid thick ice cover. Yaks and deer licked ice in the afternoons. Luckily I got to fill my Thermos flasks in the rare nomads tents and small Tibetan villages along the way, so I wasn’t needed to melt ice for drinking water.
